Cryolipolysis: the rising star of aesthetic medicine

This involves using intense cold (around –9 degrees) to destroy unwanted fat cells located under the skin by hypothermia.

This technique destroys the adipocyte membrane. It thus leads to the death of the targeted excess fat cell (this is called apoptosis).

Without painnor the need for surgical intervention, this technique has the big advantage of being definitive.

In fact, the fat cells thus eliminated cannot regenerate. Your body is therefore permanently rid of it.

Cryolipolysis is also harmless for other types of cells.
The cryolipolysis device vacuums the skin and the bulges. Then, it releases the cold as close as possible to the subcutaneous fat cells.

Thanks to specific training, any professional can handle the device. The sessions can therefore be practiced in an office or in an institute equipped with the necessary equipment.

The disadvantages of cryolipolysis

For final results, it is necessary to wait a few weeks before the final result is visible. However, the first effects generally appear after a few days.

Due to the technique used, cryolipolysis is not always the ideal solution for people diagnosed with obesity. This aesthetic medicine solution is therefore not suitable for in-depth treatment.

Finally, just as with liposuction, it is naturally important to have a healthy and balanced lifestyle to maintain lasting effects.

If the two techniques offer the same results on paper, they are not aimed at quite the same people. To be sure you choose the solution that will allow you to obtain the optimal result you are hoping for, it is essential to know where you stand.

If you are significantly overweight or obese, a deeper treatment such as liposuction is appropriate. For a lighter treatment on specific areas, cryolipolysis will be perfectly indicated.
